Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and be licensed in California. This tech will be responsible for a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac stress tests SPECT scans and tumor localization. Candidates must be proficient with GE or Siemens equipment and experienced with both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT bone scans myocardial perfusion and renal function imaging
Operate imaging equipment including GE* and Siemens* nuclear medicine systems
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under safe handling protocols
Conduct and monitor pharmacologic and exercise cardiac stress testing
Perform thyroid liver/spleen tumor localization and brain scans
Start and maintain peripheral IVs and draw venous blood as needed
Maintain accurate and complete imaging records using PACS and charting (Epic preferred)
Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients during procedures
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols
Float between outpatient center and hospital as needed
1 year of Nuclear Medicine Tech experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Must be able to float between OP center and hospital
Locals accepted at same rate
No on-call required
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a hospital or clinic setting performing nuclear medicine procedures
License & Certifications:
BLS Required
ARRT (Nuclear) or NMTCB Required
California State License Required
ARRT R Preferred
