We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment at its Pavilion SJO location. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities with GE and Siemens equipment a California state license and experience conducting a wide variety of nuclear imaging procedures. This role is best suited for professionals with a strong background in hospital and outpatient settings and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience.
Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including SPECT PET bone scans thyroid studies and myocardial perfusion stress tests (pharmacologic and exercise-induced)
Conduct various nuclear medicine procedures:
Bone Scans (3 Phase)
Myocardial Studies (Adenosine Persantine Pharmacological Stress etc.)
Lung Scans (DTPA Aerosol Perfusion VQ)
Renal Flow Studies (Lasix Captopril Flow/Function)
Thyroid Studies (Uptake Scan I-123)
Tumor Localization (Whole Body and Limited)
Operate imaging equipment (GE* Siemens*) in compliance with safety and radiation protocols
Start and maintain peripheral IVs
Perform EKGs and manage PACS imaging systems
Document all patient records in EPIC (preferred)
Provide safe effective and compassionate patient care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes
Minimum 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine required
California State License required
BLS Certification required
NMTCB Certification required
Experience with GE and Siemens equipment preferred
Proficient in starting peripheral IVs performing EKGs and using PACS
Must be comfortable working in both hospital and clinic settings
EPIC charting experience preferred
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for full travel pay (locals contact Account Manager for adjusted rate)
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Minimum 2 years recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience in hospital/clinic settings
Trauma Level I experience preferred
Adult ICU exposure preferred
California State License Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
NMTCB Certification required
BLS Certification required
SPECT PET Scans Pharmacologic Stress Testing
Bone Liver Brain Thyroid Renal and Tumor Localization Scans
Manual operation and troubleshooting of GE/Siemens nuclear medicine equipment
Start/maintain IVs perform EKGs operate PACS
Strong attention to safety and radiation standards
