Position Summary
Jefferson Public Radio ( JPR ) is Southern Oregon Universitys ( SOU ) network of public radio stations. JPR extends the Universitys regional outreach and educational mission by facilitating lifelong learning fostering the arts strengthening civic engagement and promoting the Universitys academic programs. JPRs Morning Edition Host/Reporter/Producer serves as JPRs morning news anchor developing local content to be inserted into NPRs Morning Edition. This position also produces other JPR broadcast and online news content and performs other newsroom duties.

Duties
Serve as producer in the JPR newsroom; find report and produce news reports of interest to JPR listeners to air during local cutaways in NPR news magazines and for JPR digital and print platforms. Repurpose segments from JPRs public affairs program the Jefferson Exchange to air as feature-length segments during Morning Edition. As needed update website update JPR social media posts run board operations during NPR special coverage and run board operations during two-ways and tape syncs. Participate in on-air fund drives and other development and promotional functions as assigned and perform other newsroom tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous radio and/or audio production experience Proficiency with audio editing and playback software such as Adobe Audition Experience operating radio control board and other audio equipment (CD players computer hard drive playback).
