OBJECTIVE
Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. This role involves maintaining financial records preparing reports and recording a wide range of transactions. The Accounting Clerk ensures the accuracy of financial documentation and assists accountants with various administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Financial Records:Keep financial records updated and ensure their accuracy.
Prepare Reports:Generate financial reports needed for the business.
Record Transactions:Enter key data of financial transactions into the database/ERP system.
Reconcile Accounts:Reconcile bank statements and accounts in a timely manner.
Administrative Support:Provide clerical support to the accounting department including typing preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
Handle Invoices:Process invoices organize office mail and manage customer and vendor accounts.
Resolve Discrepancies:Research track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Compliance:Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with established standards procedures and applicable laws.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience:Proven accounting experience preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk.
Knowledge:Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Technical Skills:Competency in MS Office databases and accounting software
Attention to Detail:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication:Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Problem-Solving:Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
EDUCATION
- A. Degree in Accounting/Financepreferred
