The Flood Risk Management Sub-Team Leader will be responsible for leading a specialized team focused on analyzing planning and implementing flood risk management strategies. This role involves coordinating efforts to minimize flood risks and enhance community resilience through innovative solutions and strategic partnerships. In particular Egis is currently developing a Comprehensive Water Management Plan that involves Integrated Flood Risk Management and Dam design.
This position will give you the chance to work on some of the top construction projects in the Philippines (Bulacan Airport DPWH IPIF for Flood management) but also in South East Asia Middle East and Australia/New-Zealand. 1. Leadership and Team Management: - Lead and manage a team of flood risk management professionals. - Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. - Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team. 2. Strategic Planning and Analysis: - Develop and implement comprehensive flood risk management plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze flood data to identify vulnerable areas. - Collaborate with stakeholders to design effective flood mitigation strategies. 3. Project Management: - Oversee flood risk management projects from inception to completion. - Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget. - Coordinate with external partners and contractors as necessary. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: - Build and maintain relationships with local authorities community groups and other stakeholders. - Facilitate public meetings and workshops to engage community members in flood risk management efforts. - Communicate project goals and progress to stakeholders effectively. 5. Innovation and Solution Development: - Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance flood resilience. - Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in flood risk management. - Encourage team members to explore new approaches and ideas. 6. Reporting and Documentation: - Prepare detailed reports and documentation on flood risk management activities. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies. - Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Familiar with EDMS working environment such as ACC or MS Teams.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Civil Engineering Geography or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in flood risk management environmental planning or a related field. - Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable strategies. - Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement.
Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in GIS CAD (Civil 3D) and other relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of fluvial infrastructure (rivers channels bridges culverts dikes) current
flood risk and drainage practices and policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
