In this role you will join a passionate team that supports ALDIs commitment to a more sustainable future. Our Sustainability team works diligently across the breadth of our operations setting sustainability commitments and policies in critical areas such as human rights responsible sourcing plastics and packaging waste and carbon health and community.
The magnitude of our efforts extends beyond merely setting targets; we also bear the responsibility for reporting on all ALDIs sustainability commitments to both the Australian and International business sectors. What does the role look like
- Leverage past experience to drive the successful implementation of ALDIs Climate Nature and Sustainable Products strategy
- Support the development and implementation of internal and external engagement plans translating strategy into measurable actions
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance ensuring transparency and accountability
- Provide advice and guidance to internal teams and external supplier partners to ensure compliance to ALDIs Climate Nature and Sustainable Product policies
- Stay informed about the industry and legislation developments related to nature and biodiversity and engage with stakeholders to influence positive change
- Engage with International Sustainability teams to share insights best practices and collectively address Climate Nature and Sustainable Product challenges on a global scale
Qualifications :
What do we need from you
- Knowledge of relevant climate and nature frameworks standards and regulations
- Proven experience in supporting the development of sustainability strategies with a keen commercial mindset
- Communicate technical information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills including ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to apply strong analytical skills to provide data-driven recommendations on sustainability initiatives
- Exhibit a genuine passion for climate nature and biodiversity driving a culture of continuous improvement

Remuneration
- Transparent tiered salary range of $96800 - $107500 including Superannuation
