About the Role
Coventry College are seeking to appoint a LAC Coordinator to offer a range of holistic support to our Looked After learners and care leavers and to act as mentor to learners who find it difficult to sustain regular attendance and fall below the agreed College attendance levels. You will enable and support learners to overcome barriers to progress and succeed.
We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. You will play an important part in helping the College run smoothly and efficiently contributing to the overall learner and staff experience.
Whether supporting students staff systems or services youll bring a positive approach and a strong focus on customer service teamwork and attention to detail. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic forward-thinking college where your skills and contribution are truly valued.
Requirements
Must-Have:
An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) ideally in a subject directly linked to education welfare or pastoral development
Level 3 qualification ideally in Social Care or Youth Work
Minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy or equivalent
Knowledge and experience of updating and maintain records
Nice-to-Have:
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Exceptional administration and communication skills
Ability to monitor student performance achievement and attendance and to take appropriate action to improve the chances of success.
An in-depth knowledge of the full range of opportunities and progression routes within Further and Higher Education.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the statutory guidance around safeguarding and the Prevent Duty and the ability to translate this into practice.
Training in child protection and safeguarding
