Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD)Hours per Week PICU & Acute Services
Our client is looking for a confident and experienced Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD) to join their clinical team. Working within a modern purpose-built hospital offering specialist PICU and acute services for adults this is an exciting opportunity to influence care delivery lead a
high-performing team and support the development of innovative recovery-focused practice.
This full-time position (40 hours per week) is ideal for someone with a strong background in senior clinical rolessuch as Senior Nurse Team Leader or Deputy Ward Managerand a track record of leadership in a mental health hospital setting.
What Youll Need
- NMC registration as an RMN or RNLD
- Significant experience working in a mental health hospital environment
- Previous senior experience (e.g. Senior Nurse Team Leader or Deputy Ward Manager) Minimum 3 years
- A confident proactive approach to clinical decision-making
- Strong communication team management and organisational skills

What Youll Be Doing
- Providing clinical leadership and supporting the Ward Manager in the daily running of the ward
- Coaching and supervising nursing and support staff to ensure consistent high-quality care
- Playing a key role in service development quality improvement and CQC compliance
- Leading ward rounds care reviews and risk management processes
- Supporting safe staffing rota coordination and resource planning
- Building strong working relationships with MDT colleagues patients and families
