Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD)Hours per Week PICU & Acute Services

Our client is looking for a confident and experienced Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD) to join their clinical team. Working within a modern purpose-built hospital offering specialist PICU and acute services for adults this is an exciting opportunity to influence care delivery lead a

high-performing team and support the development of innovative recovery-focused practice.

This full-time position (40 hours per week) is ideal for someone with a strong background in senior clinical rolessuch as Senior Nurse Team Leader or Deputy Ward Managerand a track record of leadership in a mental health hospital setting.

What Youll Need

  • NMC registration as an RMN or RNLD
  • Significant experience working in a mental health hospital environment
  • Previous senior experience (e.g. Senior Nurse Team Leader or Deputy Ward Manager) Minimum 3 years
  • A confident proactive approach to clinical decision-making
  • Strong communication team management and organisational skills

What Youll Be Doing

  • Providing clinical leadership and supporting the Ward Manager in the daily running of the ward
  • Coaching and supervising nursing and support staff to ensure consistent high-quality care
  • Playing a key role in service development quality improvement and CQC compliance
  • Leading ward rounds care reviews and risk management processes
  • Supporting safe staffing rota coordination and resource planning
  • Building strong working relationships with MDT colleagues patients and families
