About the Opportunity
ISMG is hiring an experienced B2B journalist to serve as Managing Editor of BankInfoSecurity one of our flagship media properties. This is a senior editorial leadership role focused on creating high-impact multimedia journalism for a global audience of banking fintech and cybersecurity professionals.

As Managing Editor you will oversee content strategy editorial calendar development and multimedia storytellingfrom in-depth articles and blogs to video/audio interviews webinars and newsletters. Youll collaborate with global subject matter experts and lead coverage on trends including cyber fraud financial regulatory changes digital identity AI in banking ransomware threats and more.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Strategy & Content Creation:

Multimedia & Event Coverage:
  • Conduct on-camera and podcast interviews with senior cybersecurity banking and compliance leaders.
  • Represent ISMG at industry events producing live coverage and securing executive interviews.
  • Partner with marketing and events teams to shape editorial themes for ISMGs summits.
Thought Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with ISMG editors analysts and advisors to shape high-impact content.
  • Host and moderate webinars roundtables and virtual events on emerging threats and compliance trends.
  • Build relationships with key influencers regulators and security executives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Journalism Communications or related fieldor equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of professional B2B journalism experience preferably covering banking cybersecurity or fintech.
  • 5 years focused on banking security or financial regulatory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber threat trends digital fraud regulatory compliance and risk management in financial services.
  • Proven multimedia experiencevideo/podcast production editing and on-camera interview skills.
  • Track record of breaking news industry scoops and thought leadership reporting.
  • Excellent communication editorial judgment and ability to work autonomously in a global remote environment.
Bonus Skills:
  • Familiarity with SEO Google News optimization LinkedIn content strategy.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior editors or freelance contributors.
  • Deep relationships with financial CISOs compliance officers regulators and tech leaders.
