Job Description
Overview
Provides coaching to providers in order to improve interactions with patients and staff including critique of the manner in which the provider communicates both verbally and non-verbally with patients and staff.
This role does not in any way offer advice or suggestions pertaining to medical treatment.
Qualifications
- MD DO PhD or equivalent
- Seven to ten years of increasingly responsible experience in healthcare including at least five years of leadership
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups at various levels and various disciplines
Responsibilities
- Meets with the providers to go over what they see as areas of opportunity that would be most helpful to improve upon.
- Observes the provider during an office visit with a patient and assesses how they listen communicate and connect with patients and families.
- Debriefs after the visit and suggests areas the provider could improve.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
