POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools Will Keresztes Ed.D. is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Special Education Consultant/Resource Teacher Grades 5/6
International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the tenure area for which they are applying to teach. It is required that candidates attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications. Preference will be given to applicants with current City of Buffalo residency dual certification in special education and a second content area experience working with students with autism or who offer SOCE certifications advantageous to the long-term needs of the school. Experience training and understanding of the IB Middle Years Program and unit planning system are desirable but not required.
JOB SUMMARY:
Position requires the planning organization and implementation of the appropriate instructional program to address the learning needs of the students; to guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their potential in both curricular and extracurricular activities. CT/Resource assignments can change from year-to-year depending on student needs as outlined in IEPs. This teacher must be properly certified qualified and prepared to teach for the needs of the STARS program at City Honors School if need arises.
