Join our ambitious Gibco Bioproduction Analytics Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. focusing on the design and commercialization of new cell culture media and media supplement products.

A Day in the Life:
- Analyze cell culture media samples autonomously or with limited mentorship.
- Perform analytical assays on MassSpec instrumentation focusing on small molecules and metabolomics.
- Participate in analytical method development optimization and validation.
Keys to Success:
- Proven ability to operate troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation.
- Initiative to engage in process improvement projects.
- Strong communication skills to regularly update managers and teams.
Education
- Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry Biology Bioengineering Biochemistry or related field (B.S. degree or equivalent experience with 2 years industry experience M.S. degree or equivalent experience preferred).
Experience
- Functional knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Experience with chromatography techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC and LC-MS technology.
- Experience with processing untargeted and targeted MassSpec data.
- Preferred experience with Thermo Scientific TSQ and/or Orbitrap MassSpec series instrumentation.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Work is performed in a laboratory setting with routine exposure to hazardous materials. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $66000.00$88000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
