Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Worcestershire to assist with the appointment of a Family Time Team Coordinator on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 17.72- 23.37 per hour

Summary:

The Family Time Team Coordinator oversees the delivery of family time services for children and young people supported by Worcestershire Childrens Services. This includes those involved in adoption or special guardianship arrangements. The role involves supervision of Family Time Workers ensuring the service meets statutory requirements maintains high standards and places the child at the center of planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Family Time Workers (14 FTE) ensuring quality safety and professionalism.
  • Oversee and manage referrals using the councils Childrens Services IT system (LCS) directing appropriately.
  • Develop family time plans and risk assessments that are child-focused and outcome-based.
  • Respond to and learn from complaints through collaboration with the customer relations team.
  • Work collaboratively across multi-agency settings and promote best practice.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent compensatory experience.

Essentials:

  • Substantial experience working with children and families in a support role.
  • Strong experience handling complex cases involving children and families.
  • Experience in achieving measurable improvements for children and families.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Children Act 1989/2004 Childcare Act 2006).
  • IT literacy and comfort with digital case management tools.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have a right to work in U.K.
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
