GEICO is seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the People Group Chief of Staff. Reporting to the People Group (PG) Chief of Staff the Business Manager will partner with the PG Leadership Team and other key partners to manage the organizations priorities. The focus of this role will be to help drive GEICOs PGs people talent and communication agendas. The Chief of Staff team will build and leverage positive working relationships that support execution of priority deliverables across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Run high visibility projects ranging from operational efficiency change management analytic deep dives team off-sites and annual planning.
  • Partner with PG Leadership Team to maintain related progress updates to the outlined annual and long-term business priorities goals and metrics.
  • Manage and triage the workflow. Prioritize delegate and complete work.
  • Support the enablement of the team to prioritize and get after what is the most impactful for our internal customers and identify any roadblock that might get in the way.
  • Ensure the team is a smoothly running engine with team wellness and high engagement at the core enabling healthy team collaboration efficient project management robust data and reporting and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Manage aspects of regular business reviews financial/budget updates and other related reports and materials.
  • Organize and deliver PG Organization-specific news hiring updates relevant projects content and employee recognition via evolving channels including SharePoint and Slack.
  • Track and help execute follow-ups from key meetings.
  • Create meaningful content for PGs CPO speaking engagements and presentations.
  • Coordinate execution of ad hoc strategic projects analyses and deliverables that support Chief of Staff and/or the broader PG organization.
  • Manage long range vision planning for the PG Organization including maintaining and overseeing the overall PG calendar.
  • Gather content organize agendas and provide logistical support for PG events such as Town Halls Staff Meetings onsite events and monthly PG calls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field (e.g. Human Resources Business Communications Operations) and 5 years of experience in human resources management insurance business planning operations management strategy program management or related role(s)

  • Effective written and oral communications with ability to story-tell business and human resources analytics and build executive-level reports and presentations

  • Can communicate clearly and professionally with partners of all levels including senior executives

  • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills with proven ability to work across organizational and reporting boundaries to get things done

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities in fast-paced and ambiguous environment; can adjust priorities decisions and actions to respond to multiple demands unexpected events and current information daily

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Strong Excel and MS Office applications skills with ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations and excel analyses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a business management or equivalent role in a complex operations organization that spans multiple US and/or international locations

  • Experience working strategically and collaboratively across multiple functions

  • Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams moving them to good and going the extra mile to ensure they are great

  • Ability to smooth out collaboration across groups challenge decisions question judgment and voice concerns

Annual Salary

$121975.00 - $189625.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role the selected candidates work experience education and training the work location as well as market and business considerations.
