Job Description
Essential Role Duties
- Handling of export oceanfreight shipments (LCL FCL and groupage Container services) from door to door or door to port.
- Communication with international customers and international business partners.
- Complete responsibility from order acceptance execution up to invoice sending.
- Ensures shipments meet on-time delivery expectations profitability expectations and are executed within the scope of the clients expectations.
- Facilitates any deviations with management through ongoing communication.
- Actively participates in the sharing of best practices and organizational skill development.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Talking hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Other Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- General understanding of ocean freight processes
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Teams
- Works well in a team environment
Education & Work Experience
- Certified freight forwarder or GED/bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ocean freight export experience required
- Experience operating a Transportation Management System
