Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position will support organizational growth by managing and enhancing HR practices and programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment lawswith experience navigating state and local regulations across MN ND and SD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead talent acquisition recruitment and hiring efforts in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.
  • Oversee and continuously improve the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
  • Serve as a resource to hiring managers employees and leadership on HR-related matters.
  • Develop implement and maintain employment policies procedures and programs.
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbooks to reflect current laws and company policy.
  • Investigate employee concerns and provide resolution strategies to the leadership team.
  • Deliver employee and manager training programs to support professional development.
  • Manage mandatory HR reporting (e.g. EEO-1) and audits as required.
  • Administer compensation structures and performance management initiatives.
  • Oversee the workers compensation process including injury reporting and return-to-work accommodation.
  • Manage unemployment claims and represent the company in hearings.
  • Supervise all HR activities communications reports requests and documents.
  • Fostering a positive work culture and promoting diversity and inclusion.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Benefits and Payroll Manager on shared policies procedures and vendor management.
  • Serve as a back-up for payroll processing to ensure continuity.
  • Update and manage the Safety Manual.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and other initiatives as assigned by the Executive Team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with state and local employment laws previous experience in MN employment laws is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication conflict resolution and organizational development skills.
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and be able to travel as needed for business.
