Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technicians;

3rd year Truck and Transport Apprenticeship or 4th year Heavy Equipment Apprentices that have completed all educational requirements in their respective programs.

Join our team as a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or qualified Apprentice specializing in Transit Fleet Maintenance where youll diagnose repair and overhaul Transit vehicles in dynamic shop environments ensuring optimal performance and safety for public transportation!

As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician specializing in Transit Fleet Maintenance you will play an important role in inspecting maintaining and repairing a variety of Transit vehicles. Youll diagnose issues test components and execute installations and rebuilds as needed to ensure vehicles meet operational standards. The role involves working across different environments from light repair service shops to heavy overhaul facilities where youll also maintain and service equipment essential to the maintenance process. Your expertise will contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of public transit systems supporting safe and effective transportation for communities.

Apprentices will receive specialized training and support from our Technical Trainers and Journeyperson mentors to achieve the expertise required to keep our fleet moving now and into the future with evolving fuel technologies.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Ability to work a variety of shifts on a 24/7 shift cycle must be available to work nights and weekends.

Salary Range:
