Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term Clients team to help assist with properties within their St. Paul and Minneapolis portfolio. The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance have experience with unit turns have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. Appliance installation and repair experience is required. HVAC experience is required - certification is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Salary: $28-$30/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday 6PM-2AM.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
- Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
- Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
- Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
- Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
- Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
- Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
- Assists with preventive maintenance program.
- Performs seasonally appropriate grounds maintenance.
- Removes snow and ice from walkways steps and parking lot.
- Rakes leaves mows lawns plants greenery prune trees etc.
- Ensures a neat and clean property appearance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience in residential maintenance multi-family/residential HVAC plumbing and electrical.
- Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
- Must provide own hand tools.
- Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
