Job Description
- Perform organ transplant surgeries with a focus on quality and patient outcomes
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of transplant candidates
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including nephrologists hepatologists transplant coordinators and support staff
- Educate and mentor medical students residents and fellows as part of academic activities (if applicable)
- Participate in transplant program development quality initiatives and research as needed
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and institutional regulations related to transplantation
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery or a related specialty
- Fellowship training in Transplant Surgery (approved by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons or equivalent)
- Licensed for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in transplant surgery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
