Job Description
Job Title: CAD Designer/Modeler I - Product Engineering Support
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (Possible extension)
Location: Moline IL 61265
Shift: 1st Shift (Onsite only)
Job Description Major Purpose:
- Perform product design/modeling using 3D CAD (Creo).
- Entry-level design role; uses basic technical judgment.
Major Duties:
- Assist with feasibility testing of designs.
- Create engineering drawings under supervision.
- Support product development activities.
- Develop testing standards/procedures.
- Follow internal procedures and get supervisor sign-off for exceptions.
- Operate machines/equipment to support productivity.
- Generate solutions to recurring inefficiencies.
- Enter and analyze data for reporting.
- Resolve basic customer/supplier queries.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Creo modeling & drafting
- PDM/Windchill
- Microsoft Office
- Collaborate with engineers on models/drawings.
- Basic tolerance stack-up calculations.
Additional Skills:
- Data analysis & communication
- Engineering design specification implementation
- Compliance & policy knowledge
- Customer-focused approach
- Business case contribution & commercial awareness
- Metatarsal safety boots required on Day 1
Nice to Have:
- ASME Y14.5 dimensioning/tolerancing
- Modeling best practices
- Attention to detail
- Creo model annotation
- Local candidates preferred
