Job Description

Our Client
Our client an electronics company seeks to employ a national sales manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nationwide sales strategy and plans for mobile accessories (power banks/chargers/cables) and audio products (speakers/earbuds).
  • Identify growth opportunities in emerging channels (e-commerce campus sales corporate gifting)
  • Conduct competitive analysis of brands to position our products effectively
  • Identify new business opportunities market trends and customer needs.
  • Expand the company s market presence by acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Knowledge of core Business Processes (Outlet Census and Mapping Route Planning and Alignment Field Sales distribution Management Field Coaching/Training etc
  • Strengthen relationships with key distributors specializing in mobile accessories
  • Expand retail presence in: Mobile phone shops Electronics superstores Open market networks Implement *visual merchandising standards* for product displays.
  • Recruit train and lead a high-performing sales team across Nigeria.
  • Set clear sales targets KPIs and performance metrics for the team.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Foster a motivated and results-driven sales culture.
  • Manage a team of 10 sales reps and area managers
  • Conduct weekly trade visits to monitor POS execution
  • Implement *sales incentive programs* to drive sell-out
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers distributors and partners.
  • Develop and execute strategies for B2B and B2C sales growth.
  • Oversee distributor performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop B2B partnerships with: Telcos (MTN Airtel Glo) for bundled offerings E-commerce platforms (Jumia Konga) for online sales growth Corporate clients for bulk purchases.
  • Monitor sell-through rates by SKU at distributor/retailer level
  • Manage inventory turnover to minimize dead stock
  • Implement pricing strategies competitive with Chinese brands
  • Track sales performance analyze data and provide insights to senior management.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual sales reports.
  • Ensure CRM (e.g. Zoho Salesforce) is effectively utilized for sales tracking.
  • Manage budgets pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Explore new regions and sectors for business growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events trade shows and networking forums.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align sales strategies with branding efforts.


Requirements

  • 5 years in sales management within mobile accessories/personal audio category.
  • Existing relationships with major mobile accessories distributors
  • Good/Deep understanding of: Power bank specifications (mAh capacity PD fast charging) Audio product trends (TWS earbuds portable speakers) Cable/charger technologies (USB-C GaN MFI certification)
  • Bachelor s degree in business administration Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience in sales with at least 5 years in a managerial role (FMCG telecom or related industries preferred).
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nigeria s business landscape and consumer behavior.
