Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled React Native Developer to join our enterprise mobile app team supporting a leading retail brand. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the latest React Native practices including functional components React Hooks and robust state management (e.g. Redux). This is not a learning role we re looking for someone who can dive into complex mobile features and deliver production-quality code with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable customer-facing mobile applications using React Native (functional components hooks) for both iOS and Android.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product Design QA and Backend to build seamless mobile experiences.
Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party retail services such as payment gateways loyalty platforms analytics SDKs and native modules.
Handle mobile app versioning deployment and release management to App Store/Play Store.
Write clean maintainable code with an emphasis on performance responsiveness and accessibility.
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum processes (sprint planning retrospectives stand-ups).
Required Technical Skills:
5 years of mobile development experience with 3 years of hands-on React Native experience using React Hooks.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Deep understanding of functional components lifecycle with useEffect and React Hooks.
Solid experience with Redux or other global state management libraries.
Demonstrated ability to work with native modules and handle common upgrade scenarios (e.g. upgrading React Native versions).
Familiarity with platform-specific UI/UX guidelines for iOS and Android.
Git version control and exposure to mobile CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have:
Experience in native iOS/Android (Swift Kotlin Java).
Knowledge of GraphQL Firebase or AWS mobile services.
Exposure to retail tools like Braze Adobe Analytics or store locator APIs.
Experience working on high-traffic e-commerce or retail apps.
Preferred Traits:
Can take full ownership of a feature from requirements to production without micromanagement.
Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of modern best practices in React Native.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug across the stack.
Responsive punctual and communicates effectively especially in remote environments.
