The Sales Support Specialist plays a vital role in enabling the sales team to focus on closing deals by handling administrative logistical and operational tasks that improve responsiveness accuracy and overall customer experience. This role will serve as a central resource for sales reps and sales leadership managing everything from proposal support and order tracking to event coordination and CRM maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal & CRM Support
- Support strategic sellers with non-standard proposal development and submissions outside of CPQ workflows
- Enter new assessments into CPQ and assist with proposal generation
- Input new contacts and leads into Salesforce (SFDC) and maintain data accuracy
Conference & Event Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for conferences and sales meetings (e.g. shipping travel hotel booth needs)
- Track conference-related expenses and provide burn reports to Regional VPs
Assessment & Pricing Support
- Assist with in-lab assessments coordination including scheduling and shipping Pelican cases with logistics
- Help maintain standardized pricing models (per book per band) and add-on pricing (e.g. mold incidentals)
Sales Operations & Customer Support
- Respond to client inquiries regarding timelines logistics and general service updates (e.g. Wheres my stuff)
- Assist with customer service for minor requests and order status follow-ups
- Complete deal packages including new customer setup and documentation submission
- Track and support small deals through production coordination and project milestone updates
- Manage change orders and collaborate with production/PMO for updates
Team & Process Support
- Onboard/offboard sales reps (access tools internal process documentation)
- Submit pricing vehicle requests and track queue items
- Support internal reporting dashboards and data clean-up efforts
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience in sales support operations or customer service
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) CPQ tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Customer-first mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred Skills
- Experience with logistics and event planning
- Knowledge of public sector sales or preservation services a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
