Job Description
- Laboratory Tasks:
- Uses laboratory techniques including pipetting reconstituting reagents calculating concentrations dilutions and weighing raw materials to complete instrument setup and post-processing of arrays or peptides
- Runs instrumentation including MAS units HPLC Lyophilizer Traditional peptide synthesizers Centrifuge Rotovap
- Completes hazardous waste training (RCRA/DOT) and manages waste (including bulking and disposition to hazardous waste handler for transportation).
- Uses existing SOPs to perform standardized activities recommends changes/improvements as necessary.
- Reports potential process improvements as needed. Initiates and conducts optimization experiments.
- Troubleshoots problems and performs corrective action when applicable.
- May make calls on priority of synthesis tasks to maintain efficiency and process flow.
- Data Analysis & Technical Writing:
- Maintains complete and accurate lab notebook records of procedures performed.
- Reviews array/LCMS QC results to make calls on pass/fail for arrays and peptides
- May adjust methods to better suit peptide content for QC processing.
- May lead the development of new data analysis methods
- Prepares and reviews technical reports SOPs summaries and quantitative analyses that detail procedures observations and results
- May review current literature in support of gaining knowledge of specific processes.
- Inventory & Training:
- Monitors inventory of reagents and consumables orders required restocking amounts when needed.
- Assists in training new employees on laboratory techniques instrumentation and other job requirements.
- Responsible for compliance with all applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct safety appropriate handling of materials controlled drug and radioactive compounds GxP compliance and animal care where applicable.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience or Masters Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out the job functions.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
