GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Packaging Engineer is responsible leading and managing the implementation of a returnable container system for purchased and manufactured components. This role will also lead a team of Continuous Improvement Technicians who build maintain and repair the different delivery containers within BraunAbility.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of technicians to support production and material handling needs to move and present parts.
Design complex delivery methods to deliver and present parts to a variety of production areas.
Maintain inventory of building supplies for carts and racks.
Lead improvement projects around material handling delivery methods.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Ability to lead projects from start to finish
Ability to work on own with little direction
Must be able to work in a fast paced and continually changing environment
Autocad (Flow Manager or similar)
Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D Cad system
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor)
Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of management and employees
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering or related engineering field with experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a Engineering role or manufacturing plant.
