Job Description
We are hiring on behalf of a US-invested product design and development company. The team specializes in innovative user-centric consumer products and IoT technology solutions for global brands.
As a Mechanical Engineer you ll work closely with teams in the US China and Vietnam to develop mechanical systems from concept through production. You ll engage in design prototyping and performance testing contributing to the creation of high-quality and cost-effective consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D/3D mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD)
- Build and test functional prototypes
- Collaborate with ID and production teams to optimize designs for mass production (DFM)
- Maintain design documentation and version control
- Define CTQ (Critical to Quality) checkpoints to ensure product quality
Depending on experience and performance you may also:
- Participate in ideation and product brainstorming sessions
- Run engineering simulations (FEA CFD) to test performance
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ASTM ISO UL FCC)
- Select suitable materials and production processes (injection molding die casting etc.)
- Identify process improvements for efficiency and innovation
- Manage factory testing tools jigs and sample controls
- Assist in training QA/inspection staff

Requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- At least 3 years of mechanical design or development experience (consumer products preferred)
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD)
- Good spoken and written English; able to communicate with foreign customers
- Strong cross-functional communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude quick learner and self-motivated

- 5-day work week (occasional Saturdays as needed)
