Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare security Emory Healthcare is hosting an exclusive Interview Day for individuals interested in joining our team as Armed Public Safety Officers at The Emory Clinics.

This is your opportunity to meet our hiring leaders interview on-site and explore a rewarding career in public safety at one of Georgias leading academic health systems.

Eligibility to Interview

To participate in the interview event candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the role listed below:

Armed Public Safety Officer Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) consecutive years of armed security military or law enforcement experience within the last 7 years

  • Must meet one of the following:

    • Possess(ed) a P.O.S.T. certification OR

    • Be registered through the military (DD214 or current Military ID) All active reserve retired or honorably discharged personnel qualify OR

    • Hold a federal state or local firearms license/certification (e.g. Department of Homeland Security NASA NRA GBI Secretary of State)

  • Must successfully complete the Basic Security Officer and Firearms Course (mandated by the Secretary of State) within 3 months post-hire

  • Must complete training to carry non-lethal weapons (Taser and/or baton) within 3 months post-hire

  • Must possess a valid Georgia drivers license and have a clean driving record

  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle

  • Must pass a psychological exam

  • Must obtain the following within 12 months of hire:

    • IAHSS Basic Certification

    • BLS Certification

  • Must complete FEMA IS& 800 within 6 months of hire
