Structural Component Systems Inc. of Fremont NE is actively seeking a positive and energetic full-time Production Worker to create high-quality products for our clients. This production position works 10 hour shifts in a 4-day Monday - Thursday workweek (no weekends required) and earns a competitive wage and opportunity for pay raise every 6 months. Two shifts available:
1st Shift - 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM - Starting hourly wage: $20 - $23/hour starting wage with opportunity to grow. Receive up to 50 cent raise every 6 months.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION MECHANIC
Each shift you WORK TO KEEP THE OPERATING PRODUCTION LINES OPERATIONAL. Involves preventative maintenance independent work capability and experience in production mechanics. Your professional manufacturing efforts contribute to both the departments and companys success. You are an accomplished and valued team player!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the position including lifting 25-50 lbs on a regular basis and up to 105 lbs on an occasional basis
- Reliable source of transportation
- Provide own set of basic tools
- Ideal candidates have 2-5 years minimum experience working in production mechanics.
Previous construction and/or component manufacturing experience a plus! Job Purpose: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Manufacturing Maintenance Tech Job Duties:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines motors pneumatic tools conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams sketches operations manuals manufacturers instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules calipers micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools levels plumb bobs and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies; and communicating the need with the parts inventory clerk on 1st shift.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Posses own hand tools or is willing to acquire tools through payroll deduction
