As a Geoscience Intern on secondment to the Nova Scotia Department of Energy you will have a direct impact on assisting the development and implementation of geoscience data packages maps and GIS outputs addressing subsurface energy resource potential in Nova Scotia. You will work with geologists geophysicists and project managers to transform legacy datasets into publicly shareable data and information. You will be mentored by various team members and will gain valuable knowledge and work experience in onshore and offshore geology of Nova Scotia. If you have a background in geoscience and GIS-IT and enjoy conceptualizing designing and implementing organized datasets and maps for geoscience communication and research with multidisciplinary team members we want to hear from you.
About the Opportunity
In this role you will be seconded from Net Zero Atlantic to the DoE Energy Resource Development Branch Subsurface Energy Development Division. This division is responsible for the development of policy legislation and regulations for the exploration and development of Nova Scotias offshore and onshore resources.
