VISIT FLORIDA is looking for a team-oriented results driven professional to join our Accounting team. OurAccounting Specialistwill support our accounting team with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This role is located in our corporate office in Tallahassee FL.
Core Responsibilities: - Review documentation for expense reports. Verify general ledger coding ensure compliance with company policy and approve for reimbursement.
- Process EFT reports through accounting system.
- Update and maintain policies and procedures related to payables and expense reports. Conduct training sessions to educate VISIT FLORIDA staff on guidelines.
- Support month-end and year-end closing by reconciling accounts and correcting inconsistencies with journal documentation to auditors as requested. Support annual budget activities.
- Communicate with internal and vendor staff to resolve questions and concerns.
- Prepare wire payments on bank site as needed. Process stop payment requests and set up bank account transfers as needed. Process American Express routing and payments.
- Prepare and send billing invoices periodically as prescribed. Process accounts receivable receipts and refunds as received.
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalency
- 2 years of professional experience
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented critical thinker with the ability to proactively research and resolve problems
- Strong proficiency in accounting software 10-key Excel and Word
- Experience working with CRM databases preferably Salesforce
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting finance business or relevant field
