Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Count Room/Drop Team Lead performs all standard duties of the Count Room/Drop Team while serving as a reliable resource for team guidance and task coordination. This position supports team performance assists with training and ensures procedures are followed accurately and consistently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive.)

  1. All internal controls departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
  2. Serve as a role model in professionalism integrity and teamwork.
  3. Provide support in answering questions and guiding peers through standard procedures.
  4. Assist in facilitating communication between team members and supervisors.
  5. Assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily tasks and sequencing of operations.
  6. Serve as a mentor and assist in the hands-on training of new team members.
  7. Monitor team adherence to policies and procedures and notify Supervisor of any concerns.
  8. Provide guidance and informal task direction when the Supervisor is occupied or off-shift.
  9. Identify and report discrepancies process concerns or operational risks to the Supervisor promptly.
  10. Assist in ensuring count accuracy and compliance through peer support-not enforcement.
  11. Remove transport and secure all bill acceptor boxes from slot machines and other locations.
  12. Ensure accurate documentation and accountability of all drop activities.
  13. Perform all soft count operations including counting and reconciling of:
    1. Slot machine currency/tickets
    2. Table games
    3. CEK units
    4. Player Terminals
    5. Vending machines
  14. Prepare reports and verify totals in accordance with count procedures and internal controls.
  15. Maintain the integrity security and confidentiality of all count operations.
  1. Ensure adherence to Tribal State and Federal laws and gaming commission regulations.
  2. Ensure soft count integrity and reporting accuracy.
  3. Maintain team accountability and performance standards.
  4. Provide support in urgent or high-stress situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED .
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Count Room/Drop Soft Count or Cage operations..
  • Strong understanding of count room procedures internal controls and confidentiality standards.
  • Ability to perform detailed high-volume work with accuracy.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and support team development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of team members and customers.
  • Work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently
  • Able to work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The team member is frequently required to walk and stand.
  • The team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; climb or balance; stoop kneel reach crouch or crawl.
  • The team member is frequently required to lift 10 to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced casino environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Exposure to secondhand smoke in designated areas.
  • Work weekends holidays and overnight shifts.

REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Obtain and maintain applicable gaming license with the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by STRC.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas drink alcoholic beverages or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances regulations laws policies and procedures relating to the employees department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
