JOB SUMMARY:
Define risk management scope for assigned tasks and develop effective and efficient solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Routinely use risk management methods processes and techniques. Develop risk reports and related documents with minimal supervision. Accept complex tasks and receives guidance from senior professionals.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incorporate conventional risk management practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated risk analyses. Perform development work and coordinate various risk management activities with personnel from other organizations to complete the task. Ensure compliance with technical requirements of assigned work. Ensure appropriate technical performance of the end product is developed. Support other senior professionals in the development analyses maintenance and reporting of risk. Organize and accept responsibility for the accuracy of limited risk evaluation results using standard techniques and procedures. Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Incorporate conventional risk management practices into risk problem solving and develop alternate solutions to problems. Communicates results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers colleagues and management.
WORK HOURS:
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week) 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week) and 9/80s (9 hours/day four days per week plus 8 hours every other Friday). Except at the discretion of the manager the work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has an unpaid 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager. Full remote telework is not authorized.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in appropriate field (Risk Management Business Management Liberal Arts Science or Engineering) and 7 years of experience. Understands and applies advanced knowledge of risk management concepts principles and techniques. Sounds technical knowledge base or risk management standard concepts principles and techniques.
EXPERIENCE:
Perform risk management functions in support of organizational mission and objectives. Risk management activities include analyzing risk data maintaining information current in the risk register developing risk reports developing related training material and developing other associated documents. Involves close work with peers subordinates as well as internal (and sometimes external) customers and performing complex analytical calculations to establish cost and schedule risk-based contingency at predetermined confidence levels
Provide expert support of the Safran Risk software. Support the development of the Integrated Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (ICSRA) for the project(s). Provide scheduler support of the Primavera scheduling software.
Serve as Risk Manager responsible for overseeing the risk management process and risk related activities in compliance with Site procedures. Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and manage risks for the projects up to Secret Restricted Data.
Interface with Project Directors deputies project managers and others to identify quantify and manage threats opportunities and issues.
Coordinate with various SRNS departments (e.g. Project Controls) on the management of identified risks.
Prepare and lead various team risk meetings.
Provide guidance and leading various risk management meetings in compliance with the Risk Management Plan.
Develop and manage risk reporting for the project(s) including the monthly reports quarterly reports and ad hoc reports when requested.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Area Security Access: Clearance required Q Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
