Job Description
Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Cincinnati OH Hybrid Schedule 2 days in office
Department: Network Engineering
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team with a primary focus on supporting our Managed Wi-Fi services. This role will be responsible for provisioning maintaining and troubleshooting Wi-Fi infrastructure-specifically Aruba equipment-while also providing support to the Ethernet Services and Access teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Managed Wi-Fi (Primary Focus)
- Configure provision and deploy Aruba access points and controllers
- Perform software and firmware updates across Managed Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi performance issues and resolve customer connectivity problems
- Monitor system health and maintain proper documentation of configurations and changes
Ethernet Services & Access (Secondary Support)
- Assist with provisioning and maintenance of Ethernet services primarily Juniper PTX 10K platforms
- Provide support for MPLS core using Nokia 7750 and Nokia 7210 equipment
- Collaborate with the Access team on escalated issues or capacity needs
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support service delivery and customer initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Aruba WiFi infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols including VLANs OSPF BGP and MPLS
- Familiarity with Juniper PTX and Nokia 7750/7210 preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- CCNA/CCNP JNCIA/JNCIS or equivalent certifications a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network monitoring and ticketing systems
- Scripting or automation (Python Ansible) a plus
- Understanding of service provider environments and customer-facing operations
