Job Description:
Responsible for managing system platforms including build/upgrade performance tuning production support and related infrastructure for mission-critical applications. This position supports both on-prem and cloud environments and reports to the VP of Systems Engineering / Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provisioning securing supporting and troubleshooting Linux (RHEL/CentOS) systems
- Maintain and upgrade hardware systems and software (OS patches firmware etc.)
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on Dell servers
- Perform file system creation expansion and migration
- Work on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-site infrastructure
- Manage and troubleshoot using vCenter (VMWare)
- Use diagnostic tools for issue resolution
- Work with DRAC/ILOM for hardware maintenance
- Collaborate with Facilities on network/SAN issues and vendor coordination
- Participate in SDLC processes
- Support scripting/automation with Puppet/Ansible (preferred)
Required Skills:
- 5 years Linux (RedHat/CentOS) experience
- 5 years server hardware support (Dell preferred)
- Basic networking (bonding routing TCP/IP VLANs)
- Disk configuration (creation migration troubleshooting)
- VMWare vCenter experience
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- AWS cloud exposure
- Experience with Puppet or Ansible
- Scripting and automation skills
- Worked at large enterprise or name-brand companies
