Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer (SE0/SE1) with a strong foundation in software development Linux system navigation and virtualization technologies. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to grow their skills in a mission-driven environment supporting the development deployment and troubleshooting of secure systems.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with FS Polygraph
Key Responsibilities:
Write and maintain Python scripts and tools to support system automation data processing and diagnostics
Navigate and troubleshoot issues in Linux environments including log analysis permissions and process management
Use the command-line interface (CLI) to manage files services and system configurations
Assist in managing virtual machines (VMs) for development testing and deployment
Collaborate with senior engineers to support system integration testing and documentation
Participate in technical reviews and contribute to system design discussions
Education & Experience Requirements:
Systems Engineer Level 0 (SE0):
Bachelors degree in System Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
No prior experience required
Systems Engineer Level 1 (SE1):
Bachelors degree in the fields above and seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope type and complexity
Note: Five (5) additional years of SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree
Required Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in Python programming
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and CLI-based navigation
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VirtualBox VMware or KVM
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
Desired Skills:
Exposure to scripting in Bash or PowerShell
Familiarity with networking fundamentals and basic system security practices
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker
