JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Palmdale CA
PAY RATE: Up to $70/hour

Summary:
-
Lead and manage facility improvement projects including renovations expansions and equipment installations.
-
Develop and execute project plans manage budgets and schedules and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure on-time on-budget delivery.

Collaborate with architecture and engineering firms to define design criteria and prepare layout drawings.
-
Analyze facility specifications regulatory requirements and construction feasibility to support informed decision-making.
-
Prepare bid sheets contracts and procurement documents while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols including employee safety training.
-
Work with the Construction Engineering team to inspect construction progress and ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.

Act as the face of the Facilities department building strong cross-functional relationships across the organization.

Work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
-
Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
-
Minimum 4 years of experience in Construction Project Management (6 years preferred).
-
2 years of experience using AutoCAD.
-
4 years of experience with Microsoft Project including project scheduling.

2 4 years of experience in project planning and coordination.

Proven experience managing projects with budgets over $500000.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use digital measuring devices.

Familiarity with ICD-705 compliance requirements.

4 years of hands-on construction experience (6 years preferred).

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
