Job Title: PGT Biology Teacher
Location: India (On-Site)
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging biology lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide timely feedback.
- Prepare students for examinations and standardized tests.
- Integrate technology into teaching practices to enhance learning experiences.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
- Facilitate laboratory activities and experiments that complement classroom learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to create interdisciplinary teaching opportunities.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development and other school-wide activities.
- Stay updated on recent advancements in the field of biology and education.
- Support extracurricular activities related to biology such as science fairs or clubs.
- Foster a passion for science and encourage lifelong learning in students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Biology Education or a related field; a Masters is preferred.
- Proven experience as a biology teacher at the high school level.
- Strong understanding of the biology curriculum and educational standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Experience with classroom management and student engagement techniques.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school staff.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in education and biology.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students in the sciences.
- Willingness to contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities.
- Knowledge of assessment strategies and student support services.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in curriculum or teaching strategies.
