Reporting into the Manager Payroll you will provide expert advice and support across payroll superannuation salary packaging and staff benefits. In this role youll lead the preparation reconciliation and finalisation of the fortnightly pay cycle manage salary adjustments resolve errors and recover overpayments where needed.
Youll also act as a key contact for staff and managers providing guidance on payroll matters and liaising with external superannuation and salary packaging providers to ensure accurate and compliant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Finalise fortnightly payroll including salary adjustments superannuation reconciliation and error resolution.
Manage salary overpayments and coordinate repayment processes.
Process off-cycle payments and bank file transfers.
Administer salary packaging and superannuation transactions ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
Provide expert advice and support on salary packaging and super to staff and liaise with external providers.
Monitor data integrity and support audit requirements.
Deliver staff information sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
The occupant of this position will hold a degree plus relevant knowledge and experience in payroll administration and related functions or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and will be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is full time fixed term opportunity until 31/04/2026 based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 6 Salary Base range - $91843.49 - $97694.71 17% super. Full package range - $107456.89 - $114618.72.
