Job Description

Operations Development Program Description:

AbbVies Operations Development Program (ODP) is a global full-time three-year rotational leadership development program. Throughout the three diverse and challenging twelve-month rotations the ODP member will develop functional and leadership traits by working on a wide range of projects while providing exposure to different leaders in the company. The program provides developmental experiences that place aspiring engineers and scientists on an accelerated track to future operations leadership opportunities at AbbVie.  

Assignment rotations geared towards the following potential opportunities:

  • Engineering
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality
  • Product Development Science & Technology
  • Procurement
  • Supply Chain 

Locations:

Program Members will be placed in one of the following U.S. locations for their first rotation.

  • Branchburg New Jersey
  • Irvine California
  • Lake County IL
  • Waco Texas
  • Worcester Massachusetts

Mobility is a key component of this program; Program Members will work in a minimum of two AbbVie locations as they move through the program. Program Members will be assigned their first location and assignment rotation based on business needs. Depending on the assignment Program Members may have the opportunity to travel as part of their rotational assignment.

Program Members may also have the opportunity to apply for a global role based in the U.S. for their 2nd or 3rd   rotational assignment.


Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in university and completing final year of studies in Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Completion of bachelors degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
  • Minimum of one internship or co-op completed.
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
  • Mobility is a key requirement. Program Members will be required to experience at least one assignment based in one of our U.S. Operations Plants and will rotate to different sites with each rotation based on business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving written and verbal skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal leadership and project management skills
  • Proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation initiative and integrity

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

  • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation holidays sick)medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. 

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus commission incentive benefits or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Companys sole and absolute discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole and absolute discretion consistent with applicable law.
