Job Description

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) is actively seeking a detail-oriented individual to join theOutreach Training and Compliance team as a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II. In this role youll conduct in-person and video presentations participate in student activities and assist students and their families with their financial aid concerns. You will also collaborate with other areas in SFA to ensure vital processes like the disbursement of financial aid occur in an efficient and timely manner. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service organizational interpersonal and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Outreach Engagement and Student Support

  • Conducts financial aid and wellness presentations for both on-campus and off-campus audiences
  • Represents the office at events for students families and community or campus partners
  • Develops and updates outreach and training materials
  • Travels locally and throughout the state for outreach (including non-business hours) using a state vehicle
  • Lifts and transports recruitment and informational materials (up to 40 lbs)
  • Resolves complex or escalated student financial aid cases from OneStop Enrollment Services
  • Assists with financial aid processing tasks including award and disbursement operations

Compliance and Administrative Duties

  • Maintains the offices Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Gathers information for subpoena responses and fraud investigations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

This position is located at the University of Floridas main campus in Gainesville FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Managements policies.

Expected Salary:

$47500 annually

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Valid drivers license required.

Preferred:
  • Student financial aid experience and knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations to audiences of varying sizes
  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills
