Job Summary
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Advancement is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic fundraising initiatives donor engagement and communications efforts to support PPLs mission of empowering individuals and families to achieve self-reliance. The AVP will lead a team of professionals to expand philanthropic support enhance community partnerships and elevate the organizations visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies including major gifts annual giving planned giving and corporate/foundation support.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with high-level donors and prospects.
- Build and scale structured major and planned giving programs.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Oversee the Major Gifts Officer Donor Engagement Manager Donor Grants & Events Specialist Advancement Data & Engagement Manager and Volunteer Program Manager.
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
Communications & Brand Management
- Oversee strategic communications marketing and public relations efforts.
- Collaborate with Communications to align messaging tied to institutional partners.
- Create segmented strategies that blend grants engagement and employee giving.
Data & Reporting
- Utilize CRM systems to track donor engagement and campaign performance.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership and the board.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising or advancement.
- Proven track record of securing major gifts and leading successful campaigns.
- Strong leadership communication and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with donor databases (e.g. CRM system) is a plus.
- Passion for PPLs mission and commitment to equity and community development.

Hours: Full time Exempt
Salary:$125000-$150000 / annually DOQ
