Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing employment and education. We believe in the power of community and the potential of every person.

Job Summary

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Advancement is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic fundraising initiatives donor engagement and communications efforts to support PPLs mission of empowering individuals and families to achieve self-reliance. The AVP will lead a team of professionals to expand philanthropic support enhance community partnerships and elevate the organizations visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies including major gifts annual giving planned giving and corporate/foundation support.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with high-level donors and prospects.
  • Build and scale structured major and planned giving programs.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Oversee the Major Gifts Officer Donor Engagement Manager Donor Grants & Events Specialist Advancement Data & Engagement Manager and Volunteer Program Manager.
  • Collaborate with program staff and leadership to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.

Communications & Brand Management

  • Oversee strategic communications marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Collaborate with Communications to align messaging tied to institutional partners.
  • Create segmented strategies that blend grants engagement and employee giving.

Data & Reporting

  • Utilize CRM systems to track donor engagement and campaign performance.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership and the board.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising or advancement.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and leading successful campaigns.
  • Strong leadership communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with donor databases (e.g. CRM system) is a plus.
  • Passion for PPLs mission and commitment to equity and community development.

Hours: Full time Exempt

Salary:$125000-$150000 / annually DOQ
