Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Outreach Support Worker on a 1.5-months contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.39- 16.37 per hour

Hours Per Week:16

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Outreach Support Worker to join Enfield Councils community support team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting vulnerable individuals including those experiencing homelessness mental health challenges or substance misuse. You will work across the borough engaging with clients in the community offering guidance and helping them access essential services to improve their well-being and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with individuals through street outreach and community referrals to build trusting relationships.
  • Provide tailored support including assistance with housing health appointments benefits and social inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate records of client contact assessments and action plans using case management systems.
  • Promote and safeguard the well-being of clients ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Monitor and review progress with clients regularly adapting support as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care Support Work or a related field.
  • Relevant safeguarding and mental health training is desirable.

Experience:

  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable adults or those at risk of homelessness substance misuse or mental health issues.
  • Experience working with multi-agency partners and navigating local support systems.

Essentials:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role and manage a flexible caseload.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Enhanced DBS
