Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to financial balances
- Accurately process vendor invoices and maintain organized records of all expenditures
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders contracts and invoices
- Assist with issuing payments and coordinating the vendor check run schedule
- Research accounting variances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for accounting documentation
- Compile sales tax reports for all paid invoices
- Provide general support to the accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting function
- Working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; prior exposure to dealership accounting systems (e.g. CDK) is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential financial data
- Effective communication and time management skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
- Occasional lifting and handling of files boxes or office equipment (up to 15 lbs)
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as a keyboard calculator scanner and copier
