About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Systems Director to lead the analysis optimization and implementation of critical business systems across our organization. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions ensuring that our enterprise applications effectively support and enhance operational efficiency decision-making and strategic objectives. The Business Systems Director will oversee a portfolio of systems and initiatives along with project management while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning selection implementation and optimization of enterprise business systems (e.g. ERP CRM HRIS Financial Systems BI platforms).
Collaborate closely with executive leadership and department heads to understand business requirements identify opportunities for system improvements and define long-term systems roadmaps.
Translate complex business needs into clear actionable technical requirements and functional specifications for development and implementation teams.
Manage the full lifecycle of business systems projects including scope definition resource allocation budget management timeline adherence and risk mitigation.
Oversee and mentor a Project Manager fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Stay abreast of industry best practices emerging technologies and regulatory changes relevant to business systems.
Evaluate new technologies and vendors conducting thorough assessments to recommend solutions that align with business strategy and technical architecture.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes and system configurations.
Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for key business applications.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or equivalent experience.
7 years of progressive experience in business systems analysis implementation and management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale enterprise system implementations.
Deep understanding of core business processes (e.g. Finance HR Sales Operations Supply Chain).
Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience using project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall) and tools.
Familiarity with data governance principles and business intelligence concepts.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters degree preferred.
Experience with specific enterprise platforms relevant to Din Tai Fung UKG Sage Toast Yelp OLO PowerBI
Experience with change management principles and strategies.
Knowledge of cloud-based business applications and SaaS models.
Experience in a multi-unit restaurant environment.
