Duration: Approximate 12-month contract with possibility of extension
Pay rate: Between $63.40 - $71.29 per hour plus 12% superannuation
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Officer to join a key division within a Federal Government Department. Working within the Security Division you will play a critical role in supporting global security asset refresh projects by managing the procurement of security-related equipment.
You will work closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are efficient compliant and deliver value for money. This role requires someone with a proactive approach and a deep understanding of Government procurement frameworks and processes.
Support and monitor procurement activities ranging from basic to complex requirements
Prepare procurement documentation including Approvals to Approach the Market Evaluation Outcomes and Funding Approvals
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal clients and stakeholders actively seeking feedback and driving engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders
Manage Government contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)
Provide policy and compliance advice in line with Government legislation and procurement rules
Identify and manage procurement risks and issues
Manage group mailboxes maintain corporate documents and ensure proper filing practices
Contribute to procurement efficiency and improved outcomes through innovation and initiative
Minimum four years experience in Government Procurement
In-depth knowledge of the PGPA Act and other relevant Government procurement frameworks
Proven experience in managing procurement and contract administration
Strong understanding of supplier market and category analysis
Ability to develop and manage tender documentation and evaluation reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
High-level organisational and time management skills
Australian Citizenship is essential
Must hold a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
