Speech Language Pathologist (PRN)
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will assess diagnose and treat individuals with communication speech language and swallowing disorders. This role requires flexibility a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients with speech language or swallowing impairments.
- Monitor and document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and provide strategies for support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians nurses and occupational and physical therapists to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current on research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in staff meetings case conferences and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. (preferred)
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. (Required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred; experience with specific patient populations (geriatrics) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexible availability for varied shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift or assist patients as necessary.
- Participate in activities requiring fine motor skills and tactile manipulation.
