Other Potential Responsibilities:
- Completes QAPI Infection Control and Safety activities and reports to the DON Administrator and Medical Director
- Assists with MDS assessment documentation and completion. Has knowledge of MDS schedule and assures the the MDS is completed per state and federal guidelines.
- Monitors infection control practices and procedures to ensure that all personnel are implementing the highest standards in infection prevention.

A Brief OverviewAccountable for overseeing nursing functions and operations as well as onboarding development and implementation of educational programs within the facility for CNAs LPNs and RNs ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care. The Manager - Nursing - Long Term Care also involves providing floor coverage to support the nursing team and assists the Director of Nursing in administrative functions ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a passion for team development and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to residents.
What you will do
- Works closely with the Director of Nursing to manage supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations of the long term care facility including staffing nursing services and scheduling.
- Identifies and reviews operational concerns and problems resolving or bringing to the Director of Nursings attention.
- Ensures appropriate recruitment and onboarding for licensed and certified staff.
- Ensures open professional communication is maintained with providers.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive orientation program that facilitate smooth transitions for new hires into the long term care environment.
- Coordinates and delivers ongoing training programs related to best practice in patient care regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
- Completes necessary forms/audits for QAPI infection control and safety activities and reports to Administrator Director of Nursing and/or Medical Director.
- Monitors infection control practices and procedures to ensure that all personnel areimplementing the highest standards in operating procedures for tasks involving exposure to blood and body fluids and the proper disposal and removal of infective and contaminated materials from the facility.
- Responsibilities include interviewing hiring developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- 4-6 years Nursing experience
Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Bachelors
- 1-3 years Leadership
- 1-3 years Long Term Care nursing
