Job Description
Location: Onsite Orange CT (with regional travel to MA & NY)
About the Role:
Were hiring a GIS Project Manager with a strong command of utility GIS systems particularly ESRI technologies to oversee multi-site implementation and modernization projects. This role requires both strategic leadership and deep GIS technical fluency to drive success across Avangrids operating companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle GIS project delivery from planning through execution
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure milestone adherence
- Develop timelines manage scope mitigate risks and report to senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with utility regulations and GIS data standards
- Serve as the liaison across IT engineering and field operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing GIS projects especially within the utilities sector
- Hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Utility Network and system integration
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- PMP certification preferred
- Degree in Computer Science Engineering Geomatics or Information Systems
