Job Title: Ophthalmologist - MS DOMS Consultant

Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments to diagnose various ocular conditions.
- Perform surgical interventions such as cataract surgeries glaucoma treatments and other complex eye procedures.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patients.
- Collaborate effectively with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients about their conditions treatment options and preventive care strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continuous medical education.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records to facilitate follow-up care.
- Engage in community outreach and education programs to promote eye health awareness.
- Supervise junior ophthalmologists and ophthalmic assistants in clinical practices.
- Participate in the development of clinical protocols to improve patient care practices.
- Handle emergencies and urgent cases requiring immediate ophthalmic attention.
- Work collaboratively within a healthcare team to optimize patient treatment pathways.
- Contribute to research initiatives aimed at advancing the field of ophthalmology.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS) with Masters in Ophthalmology (MS) or Diploma in Ophthalmology (DOMS).
- State medical licensure to practice as an ophthalmologist in India.
- Proven experience in clinical and surgical ophthalmology.
- Strong understanding of ocular diseases and their management.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Proficient with modern ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and surgical techniques.
- Exceptional patient care and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies proficiently.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Research and publication experience in ophthalmology (preferred).
- Membership in relevant ophthalmology associations (preferred).
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Passion for improving patient outcomes and promoting eye health.
