Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain thegeneral ledger ensuring timely and accurate entries reconciliations and month-end close processes.
Manageaccounts payable (AP) including reviewing invoices tracking expenses and ensuring timely payments.
Assist withpayroll processing ensuring compliance with wage laws proper allocation to projects and accurate reporting.
Perform account reconciliations variance analysis and resolve discrepancies.
Support construction-related accounting tasks including job cost tracking project budgets and WIP (work-in-progress) schedules.
Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights and reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls.
Assist with year-end audits and preparation of financial statements.
Qualifications
Experience:4 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years inconstruction accounting.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounts payable and payroll processes.
Experience with construction job costing project accounting and WIP reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
